Turner Valley I painted this in the lounge of the Turner Valley Lodge. I wanted a theme that included both the towns of Turner Valley and Black Diamond. The book, "In the Light of the Flare" provided 2 useful images. In the photo "Turner Valley 1927" the street was empty. It needed something to bring the viewer into the painting. The picture of John Blakeman on his meat wagon was just what I needed. |
